Electromobility is transforming the electric power sector. This webinar will present the main challenges and opportunities that electromobility brings to the Brazilian electric sector. With the growing adoption of electric vehicles, topics such as energy demand, integration with renewable sources, adaptation of distribution networks, and regulatory evolution are gaining prominence.

Cesare Quinteiro Pica has worked for 15 years with innovation in the energy industry, on issues related to energy generation, distribution and trading in the context of integrating the vehicle charging infrastructure in the electric energy network. He currently serves as CEO of MOVE Eletromobilidade, a technology company offering smart solutions and digital services for recharging electric vehicles. Cesare is an Electrical Engineer from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and a PhD from the Politecnico di Torino on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation and Integration of Electric Vehicles in the Power Grid.
Rodrigo Braun dos Santos,

Graduated as an Electrical Engineer from the Federal University of Paraná in 2008, and is currently pursuing a Master′s degree in Electrical Engineering at the same esteemed institution. Additionally, holds a specialization in Best Practices in Project Management from Universidade Positivo, completed in 2014.
Boasting a diverse professional journey, spanning various domains such as operation and maintenance of plants and substations, expertise in grounding and SPDA systems, proficiency in parameterization and maintenance of anemometric measurement systems, and a deep understanding of distributed generation and electric mobility.
Since 2019, has had the privilege of being an invaluable member of the Smart Grid and Special Projects team at Copel Distribuição, actively contributing to the advancement of electromobility initiatives. The areas of keen interest encompass Electromobility, Distributed Generation, Microgrids, Smart Grids, Energy Storage Systems, and Electric Vehicles, reflecting a deep-seated passion for innovation and sustainable energy solutions.
Rafael Cunha,

Rafael Cunha is an Electrical Engineer from the Federal University of Santa Catarina and writes the “Electric Vehicles” column for FotoVolt magazine. He has several years’ experience in projects for industrial installations, as well as in projects to implement an electrical work safety regulatory standard (NR-10) and is also a member of the study commission currently developing the NBR 17019 standard. Rafael is a co-founder of and the director of operations at movE Eletromobilidade, which provides technological solutions for managing the charging controls of electric vehicles.
