Lucca Zamboni is an electrical engineer with over 24 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in innovation, smart grids, energy storage, distributed generation, and electric mobility. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), an MSc and BSc from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, and executive education in Digital Transformation from the University of Cambridge.He is Partner and R&D Executive Director at GESEL - Electricity Sector Study Group (UFRJ), where he leads strategic projects in electric mobility, tariff innovation, energy storage, and regulatory studies for major utilities and international institutions. Previously, he served for a decade as R&D Program Manager at EDP Brazil, coordinating more than 90 ANEEL approved innovation projects and chairing the ABRADEE R&D Working Group.Lucca is also a lecturer in postgraduate programs, author of book chapters and scientific articles, and a specialist in strategic planning, technology prospecting, and the development of complex, multidisciplinary innovation projects in the electricity sector.
