H2 and PtX Offtakers in Brazil, Europe and Germany: Driving global demand for hydrogen and sustainable carbon projects

Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 01:00 pm - 03:30 pm

Expo Center Norte, blue Pavillon B Power2Drive Innovation & Application Stage (BB1.61)

The International Hydrogen Ramp-up Programme (H2Uppp), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, seeks to promote strategic partnerships between German and Brazilian companies in the green hydrogen value chain. The hydrogen, PtX and sustainable carbon market presents constantly adapting trends and challenges. In addition to green hydrogen itself, the generation of value-added products, such as sustainable fuels, involves the need to use carbon, a market in which Brazil is promising. In the supply and demand context, it is necessary to identify who the offtakers are in Brazil and Europe, as well as to promote cooperation for projects that can leverage Brazil's advantage in sustainable carbon and stimulate new international business with Germany. In partnership with Smarter E South America 2024, H2Uppp and AHK RJ will coordinate the Workshop "H2 and PtX Offtakers in Brazil, Europe and Germany: Driving global demand for hydrogen and sustainable carbon projects", on 28 August 2024, from 12.30 to 15.30 at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo, SP. The agenda, available on the following page, will feature panelists from potential off-takers and suppliers/consumers of sustainable carbon in the green hydrogen chain. Objectives • To provide answers and open up dialogue for all important companies and institutions on the consolidation of the green hydrogen value chain, its business models, applications and potential in Brazil. • Facilitate B2B networking between German and Brazilian companies along the green hydrogen value chain, promoting links between buyers (off-takers), producers, distributors and consumers. • Elucidate the opportunities and challenges for off-takers, what they are expecting and the possible models for buying and selling.• Inform companies in Brazil about the opportunities for using sustainable carbon in the country as an input for the production of green hydrogen derivatives such as SAF, methanol and green ammonia.
